Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to be able to use our website comfortably; on any device, with any assistive tech, and in whatever way works best for them. If we’ve missed something, tell us and we’ll fix it.

Our Commitment

  • We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 AA across waycollective.co.uk.

  • We design and build with people first: clear language, clean layouts, strong contrast, and no reliance on colour alone.

  • We keep improving, accessibility isn’t a one-off project

What we’re doing

  • We bake accessibility into how we design, write, and build:

  • Structured content: proper headings, lists, and landmarks; meaningful link text.

  • Keyboard first: everything should be usable without a mouse; visible focus states.

  • Alt text: informative descriptions for images; decorative images marked correctly.

  • Colour & contrast: checked against AA standards.

  • Forms: labels, instructions, error messages, and success states announced clearly.

  • Media: captions for videos and transcripts for audio; reduced-motion support where possible.

  • Readable text: scalable fonts, sufficient line spacing, and plain English.

Where we are right now

  • We’re working towards full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance. Parts of the site may not fully meet this yet. Known areas we’re improving:

  • Some older PDFs and downloads aren’t fully accessible (tagging/reading order).

  • Legacy videos may be missing captions or transcripts.

  • Third-party widgets (e.g., booking, embedded players) have their own accessibility limits.

  • If any of this blocks you, email hello@waycollective.co.uk and we’ll provide the content in an accessible format (Word, HTML, large print, audio, or a call to walk through it).

Feedback & contact

  • Spotted an issue or need something in a different format?

  • Email: hello@waycollective.co.uk

  • Tell us: the page URL, the problem, and what would help.

  • We aim to respond within 2 working days and resolve issues as quickly as we can.

Compatibility

  • This site is built with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript. It should work with:

  • The latest two versions of Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Firefox

  • On current iOS and Android browsers
Older browsers and very old operating systems may not render everything perfectly.

Assessment & continuous improvement

  • We test using:

    • Automated checks (e.g., Lighthouse/axe) during development

    • Manual keyboard testing

    • Screen reader spot-checks (NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS/iOS)

  • We review accessibility quarterly and whenever we ship major changes.

Third-party content

  • We sometimes link to or embed third-party services (e.g., video platforms or booking tools). We don’t control their code, but we choose accessible options where possible and raise issues with vendors when we find them.

Enforcement (UK)

  • If you’re unhappy with how we respond to an accessibility request, the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS)can offer advice and support.
